Jesus commands us to tell others of His great salvation. He wants everyone to know about Him. He suffered a horrible death so all of mankind could have a relationship with God. The only way for that truth to be known is for someone to tell it. We are that "someone." Why should we tell others? We should tell others because they need to know that Jesus loves them and longs to give them life. He desires to rescue each one from the consequences of sin.
In addition to telling our friends, neighbors, co-workers and classmates about Jesus, Hope Christian Church offers several ways to share the love of God both locally and globally. Check out the information below, and pray about ways in which you could share that love.
Local Outreach
Serving is part of the DNA of Hope Christian Church. Together we’re reaching out to our community through acts of service to those in need. We help accomplish the mission of the church by serving together and sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ through our actions and words. Regardless of your interests, spiritual gifts or talents, there is a place for you to serve.
We serve the homeless by preparing and serving meals each month at the Haven Center in Lorain. We also send teams to the City Mission in Cleveland several times a year. In addition to these serving opportunities, we collect Thanksgiving food baskets and deliver them to families in need in Elyria, and prepare back-to-school backpacks for under-privileged children in Lorain County.
Whether you want to serve as an individual, with your family or with your Small Group, we can help you partner with an organization that is serving a specific need in our community.
Global Outreach
Hope Christian Church partners with several global outreach organizations, including Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMFi), to connect others to Jesus. HCC currently supports missionaries and missions organizations in Africa, Asia, Mexico, Haiti and other locations. Several children in the Mathare Slum of Nairobi, Kenya are currently being sponsored by members of HCC. For more information on child sponsorship, click here.
